New Public Access Defibrillator in Farnborough

New Public Access Defibrillator in Farnborough

As you may know, on top of responding to emergency calls, we also teach Basic Life Support and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) courses locally. But it doesn't stop there, we continually work to fundraise to place as many AED's in the community as possible as the more there are available, the more chance there is of somebody surviving a Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

We are pleased to have just launched a brand new PAD site (Public Access Defibrillator site) outside of the Royal British Legion Club in Farnborough. This Defibrillator will be available 24 hours a day for anybody within the community or within the Royal British Legion Club.

All you need to do if you need to use it in the event of a Cardiac Arrest, is call 999 and tell them your location as you normally would, they will then let you know how to gain access to the AED cabinet, so you can begin life saving support on the patient.

Although you do not have to have any prior training to use an AED, if you would prefer to gain some confidence just in case, you can get yourself booked on to one of our free Basic Life Support courses which we run regularly. You can book a place on our website by going to the Courses link.

Keep your eyes peeled for more PAD sites springing up, as we will continue to work hard to bring more to the area. If you would like to assist with fundraising for a PAD site within your community, or if you know of a business that would like to fund a PAD site, please get in touch so we can discuss it.
