258 more students now know CPR!

Restart a Heart

This year we had yet another successful year teaching young people all over the county how to perform CPR as part of Restart A Heart day/week. We attended multiple schools and clubs to give free training alongside our colleagues and other organisations.

Restart A Heart day/week is a designated week of action with the aim to teach vital life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills to as many people as possible, and Rushmoor & Surrey Heath Community First Responders support South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust in their efforts to provide as many schools as possible with free training.

Every year one of the schools which we attend is Tomlinscote School in Frimley, Surrey. This year when our team attended, we delivered training to 258 year 9 students. Every student participated fully and received a certificate to show they took part. Lisa from Tomlinscote said that "the Year 9's now have the confidence to do something rather than nothing which is simply incredible".

CPR is a really important skill to have, and although we support Restart A Heart day/week every year, we actually provide completely free CPR and AED awareness courses throughout the year, you just have to get in touch!
